I’m so glad you’re here!

Welcome, friends! I’m Cassie- a wife, mom to 3 sweet kiddos (2 boys & a girl!), and most importantly, a follower of Jesus Christ. The desire of my heart is to glorify my Savior, and that’s why I write. I want this space to be a place where tired mamas, struggling teen girls, and everyone in between can find encouragement in their walk with Christ.
Diaries of a Daughter.
In August 2012, my mom passed away after a year and a half battle with brain cancer. This blog began as a place to process and share what the Lord taught me as a daughter watching her mom suffer with cancer, and eventually pass away. By God’s grace, it’s grown into much more. I still write “diaries” about what He has and still is teaching me about being a daughter who lost her mom, but ultimately, I write “diaries” of being a daughter of the King of kings. Please know I don’t have it all together nor am I perfect. All of my writing comes from the overflow of the work the Lord is doing in my own heart.
What you’ll find here.
Simply, you’ll find whatever the Lord has on my heart. He is gracious to teach me as I follow Him through marriage, motherhood, and ministry. He also continues to teach me about grief, especially now that we have lost 4 precious babies in early pregnancy. He’s given me a deep passion for His Word, studying it, and Bible literacy. I hope to share Jesus with you and encourage you in your walk with Christ. My life verse is Romans 8:28, “For we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, those who have been called according to His purpose.”
Now, for a little fun.
I love college football a whole lot (Go Gamecocks!). I joke that this is why my husband married me. On the beach with a good book is one of my favorite places to be (something I get from my mom). Coffee, ice cream, journals, Diet Dr Peppers, and pretty pens are a few of my favorite things. I have a deep love for Sunday afternoon naps, baking, and Disney World. And one of the hardest things about parenting has been keeping a straight face when I’m not supposed to laugh.
Welcome, friends. I’m glad you’re here. Thanks for joining me as I diary about life as a daughter.

Happy Reading 🙂
