Let this verse sink in for a moment:
Every time I read this verse I get completely overwhelmed and humbled. That word while just sticks out to me so much. Christ did not die for us while we loved Him, were obeying Him, etc., but Christ died for us while we were sinners. Christ died for us when He didn’t have to. He had the power to stop the whole thing at any moment. Christ died for us when we hated Him and were His enemy. The amount of love it takes to do that is so hard for me to fathom. Christ loves us unconditionally and loves us more than we could ever imagine. This verse proves that. Let it sink and and praise Him for His great love He has for us!
