New to this!

Welcome to my 1st ever blog post!  I feel that God has laid on my heart to share Him with others through the internet, so here goes!  My name is Cassie, & I am a wife (a youth pastor’s wife!), a student, a future teacher, a sister, a friend, and a daughter.  I’d like to go into a bit more detail about the “daughter” aspect of who I am…

First and foremost, I am a daughter of the King of kings, Jesus Christ!  What Jesus has taught me will be a lot of what this blog focuses on.  Please note, I am nowhere near perfect, nor do I claim to be.  I am just a sinner saved by amazing grace.  Everything I write here will be something that the Lord is challenging/encouraging me with as well. 

Second, I am the daughter of an amazing mom.  My mom was diagnosed with brain cancer in February 2011, and Jesus fully healed her and took her home in August 2012.  Through the journey of Mom’s cancer, the Lord taught me a lot… I mean a lot!  So, for now, many of my posts will be sharing what Jesus taught me through my mom’s life and her journey.  Also, my mom wrote some really awesome devotions during her life that I will probably post as well!

Basically, my goal is to glorify Jesus.  As I do that, I hope that you are encouraged, challenged, and that your walk with Christ is strengthened.  If you don’t know Jesus, I pray that He will use this blog or someone to teach you about Him and that you will come to know Him.  I am excited about following what I feel the Lord has laid on my heart!  Hope to see you soon!
