ALL Things.

February 24, 2013 cassiepattillo

I'm not gonna lie, watching Mom's journey with cancer was one of the hardest things I have ever been through in my life.  I was scared, sad, unsure, heartbroken watching my mom suffer, and so many other emotions.  My mom was my best friend, and I miss her like crazy... so sometimes it still is hard,… Continue reading ALL Things.

Last week, I was honored to be a part of Enjoy God’s Word, an online Bible teaching conference for women. I got to teach about one of my favorite things— hospitality 🏠! Recording my talk is always an adventure 🤪… kids saying “6… 7….”, garage doors opening 😂. Shout out to my husband who supports me in a million ways, including being my tech guru 🩷! If you’re type-A, love a to-do list, & color-coded calendars make you happy, then “Unhurried” is for you. Christ has a better motherhood for us than one burdened by guilt. Let God be God. Rest in Him & seek first His purposes for your life 🙌. How about a mindset shift on this Monday morning after a crazy weekend?! Life isn’t busy, it’s FULL ✨. Blessed to be their mama. What a joy it was to teach God’s Word to the ladies at PBC (@philadelphia_baptistchurch) this morning 🩷! Scripture means the same thing it meant when the authors originally wrote it (inspired by the Holy Spirit, of course!). We *don’t* get to come up with our own meaning. We ask, “What does the Bible mean?” A planned pregnancy (even born on his due date!). A surprise that STILL keeps us on our toes & laughing. An international adoption process that took 4 years, but was worth every minute of the wait. 4 times of seeing those 2 pink lines & being so excited, but then, 4 miscarriages, all completely different from the other. & now, another adoption process is underway (domestic this time!), & we’re still in the middle of the wait/unknown. I started writing before Instagram was even a thing (I think??), let’s chat about where it started, why I started, & my heart behind it all now…. All in honor of my mom’s birthday 🩷
